Summit, a photo from Verona, Veneto

Photographer's Note

In February 2005 there was an important summit on the streets of Verona. While two 'mammas' were having their shopping, the two of important members of Italian local community had their chat. I guess their concern was the current political scece in Italy, European constitution, and current demographical problems of the Old Continent. Or did they discuss something else?

A good inter relation happening between the 2 babies (bambinos). Good sharpness clor lighting & composition. Well done!

Lovely perspective Jerzy - it is so good to get down to the toddlers level of communication and perception. The 'interfering' adult hand is a great touch too! Whose attention was distracted by the woman passing in blue jeans is perhaps up for debate!

I once did a 'Wish You Were Here' postcard project with a group of wheelchair users where we explored places in the area where we live and photographed and wrote postcards to people from their point of view - a very powerful excercise and a very different take on the world! Your picture reminded me of this!

oj, widaæ ¿e kolega przemy¶liwuje i zg³êbia problemy natury egzystencjonalnej :) - polityka siê marzy :) - ale masz racjê, kto¶ musi siê zaj±æ w³±¶ciwymi problemami, które nas dotkn± ju¿ niebawem - ja mam 2jkê dzieci :) wiêc jest zachowana równo¶æ pokoleñ ;) - zdjêcie bardzo normalne - co stanowi o jego warto¶ci

Excellent photo!!! So funny...lol...the luxury in which our kids live makes big contrast to all the third world kids photographed on TE...The photo is really well framed and the compo is perfect! The expression of the kid on the left is so cute!

I guess they were discussing politis or Football as they tend to do on italian squares...

the boy on the left was probably saying to the girl on the right : "ciao bella !" like all the men do in Italy when a woman passes by. that's why I love Italy !!! ; )

A cute scene you found with the two toddlers on the street, Jerzy. I like your cropping and perspective that takes us down to the children's level, and shows the details of the grown-up world basically just as a maze of legs. Well done.
