Photographer's Note
I love the incredibly rich details in Italian architecture. This is taken in the Ducal palace in Venice, in the courtyard.
PP: A contrast adjustment, resize, frame, and slight USM.

I love this kind of composition that avoid any reference from outside and concentrate our regard into the building, like this one, a perfect way to see how civil arquitecture was back in those times and how we keep imitating it. Take care Mike.

You brought back great memories for me! I've been there twice, but never had a very good camera back then! Beautiful shot with great detail and contrasts. What the pictures can't tell is the smell from the lagoon I distinctly remember, as well as the dampness in my hotel room!
Cheers

Hello Mike,
I too enjoy the rich detail of Italian architecture, but nowhere is it richer than in the courtyard of the Ducal Palace. What pride these artists, architects and artisans took in creating such astonishing works. I know these stairs well. You've presented layer upon layer, almost too rich for the eye.
Warm regards and have a good weekend,
Bulent
