Photographer's Note

Back to Venice for one Week so. Here night shot of San Giorgio di Maggiore. First of different point of view of the same subject.

“Although it was not which a range of rifle has, the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore wrapped itself, in my eyes, of a diaphanous atmosphere which more gently drew on the horizon its lines, without their anything to remove from their smoothness. The church of Palladio, the red and white barrel of its bell-tower, that the projected shade of the cupola made, by opposition, to shine of a blow of light, its elegant pinnacles and the colonnade of its gantry, triumphed in this impalpable gauze that the Barbarians of North call fog and who deserves this name only on their premises… And, under the rosy sky, the strange lagoon kept its very pale green - hardly made iridescent - on the large reducing tablecloth, of a small money whole clapotement which cut, by intervals, the slender black silhouette of its gondoles.” Léopold the Gironde - Memories of Italy 1907
