Photographer's Note

This is the third in my small series on classic wooden powerboats.

The photo was taken on Easter Sunday in 1980. It was surprising how crowded Venice was on Easter; there were hordes from out of town wandering over the bridges and along the canals. I had my first taste of Italian gelato here, and ice cream would never be the same again.

Technical: This was originally a print (from a 35mm slide; Minolta camera), which was then scanned (using a not-great scanner), so the quality is not good even after attempts to enhance in PS. But it is a classic view of Venice and includes that wonderful woody and so I am presenting it to TE with hopes that you will enjoy it.
