defensive, disdainful, annoyed, ...?, a photo from Venice, Veneto

Photographer's Note

This photo is from the Venice carnival from this February and part of my Carnival series.

I this lady was posing just for me and changing her posing, expressions, attitude brilliantly. I like this one the best but am struggling to name this photo correctly depending on her expression. To me she is very defensive and despising. What do you think?

Well, if you ask me what she was doing, I will say that she was inviting you rather than taking defensive or despising. But you were so addicted to your art that you didn't even think of the contrary :))

About the photo, I have to say that it looks fantastic, with the gesture of the hand and her gorgeous pose. It has already struck me with her mask of cold senselessness yet the idea of romanticism in Venice is already totally catching.

The colors, framing, grotesque and sharpness is also awesome. You are lucky to have taken this post, and we are lucky to see it.

I think the best English description I can think of is "disdainful". The exposure, colours and sharpness in this image are all excellent, the softness of the fan simply displays movement. I lkie the composition too and the complimentary background.
