Photographer's Note

Santa Maria della Salute referred to by most locals as simply Salute is probably one of the most photographed structures in Venice. The church was built in the 17th century after a deadly wave of the plague had passed. It sits on a narrow strip of land between the Grand Canal and the St. Mark's Basin. By:
