Palazzo Vecchio - Sangemini Palazzo Vecchio, also called Praetorian Palace, is a rare example of the municipal building of the twelfth century, well preserved and recently restored. The facade of the building consists of only two elements: a scale with sturdy steps and a huge arch that supports it. The bottom is brick, while the facade above the arch is made from rocks.rn The two arched windows of the late '400. The edge and the ring denote a Gothic sensibility.rnThere are still remains of frescoed coats of arms, including that of Eugene IV (1431-1447) and that of the Orsini. The first floor is all occupied by two rooms, which are different tracks of the original paintings, largely restored; some interesting scenes allusive to the Good Government, on the right wall of the first big room, the pictorial cycle of "rural work" depicting the grape pressing, the harvest, the harvest of ficus nigra, on the left wall certain Podesta coats of arms, dated between the fifteenth and seventeenth century., including that of John from Montenegro with a long written and the date 1482; next to the entrance on the right, on the lintel of a door, another emblem with the words: ARMA NOBILIS VIRI / GAELOTTIS DE / Benvenutis D (e) P (r) US (i).rnEsperia in the tower, on which rests the building, severed and adjusted at the top with a bell tower in the eighteenth century, with the original bell forged in 1318 by Stefano master of Orvieto, such as the inscription, which is given here: + M ( entem).
