Papigno - Dark alley

The center dominates the Valnerina from its 222 meters above sea level, located near the Marmore Falls, its history is closely linked to that of the famous water jump, as - in the industrial age - the Galleto power plant (a word belonging to in Papigno) produced hydroelectric energy for the industrial purposes of the city of Terni, and this, together with the exploitation of hydrocarbon, confirmed its economic importance.
The territory of Papigno has repeatedly brought to light Roman testimonies outside the inhabited center, which was formed during the first centuries of the Middle Ages on an isolated relief and in a privileged position for the defense and sighting of the two important roads: the Valnerina and the Via Curia, which climbing the slopes of Mount Sant'Angelo up to the Marmore, leads to Rieti. Hi Silvio,

La longueur de l'allée donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des arches. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Silvio, another interesting place to wander and capture some shots; I like this point of view looking towards the arch at the end of the path.

Magnificent perspective of this covered passage that looks very old, all built in stone, in the background where it ends in a street, we see the white facade of a house and it is a good contrast.

A unique medieval dwelling with an inviting angle, well exposed between dark and bright. Lovely how the opening grabs the eye to look deeper inside. The contrast and textural detail of the stonework lend an appealing olde feel. Congrats
