Entering the town hall, a photo from Terni, Umbria

We leave the churches to enter the town hall, but only metaphorically and not as the two ladies are doing. The Palazzo Comunale di Narni, also called Palazzo del Podestà or del Vicario, is located on the Piazza dei Priori, in the center of Narni, in front of the Palazzo dei Priori.It was built towards the end of the 13th century on top of three mighty adjacent towers which, united together , then formed a single building. In the 2 WS a detail of the facade and the information poster of the square.

Usciamo dalle chiese per entrare nel palazzo comunale, ma solo metaforicamente e non come stanno facendo le due signore. Il Palazzo Comunale di Narni, chiamato anche Palazzo del Podestà o del Vicario, si trova sulla piazza dei Priori, nel centro di Narni, di fronte al Palazzo dei Priori.Fu costruito verso la fine del Duecento sopra tre poderose torri attigue che, riunite insieme, costituirono poi un solo edificio. Nei 2 WS un particolare della facciata e la locandina informativa della piazza.

Hello Luciano,
Strange animals are depicted in the bas-reliefs on the wall we see in the WS.
The pigeon underneath gives the impression of being very large.
Beautiful bas-reliefs but they have not withstood the test of time unscathed. Of course a lot has happened since the 13th century.
Intriguing to read how the three towers have become one building. Was there also the possibility to take a picture of the whole?
Interesting clear and sharp pictures.

Ciao Luciano, fa primo impatto Terni appare come una delle più brutte città dell'Umbria, ma a conoscerla bene riserva piacevoli sorprese, Palazzo Spada è troppo massiccio per essere considerato bello, ma la tua foto lo ingentilisce molto, anche grazie alla collaborazione delle due involontarie modelle, bello anche il WS e utili le informazioni, bravo, ciao Silvio

Hi Luciano,
I like the rough texture of that portal. This wall shows many styles of bricks from different eras, as an evidence of how this building has changed over time. Reliefs on top and right are interesting too.

Hello Luciano,
Although you didn't follow the ladies inside the town hall, it was a good thing to include them in the photo at the entrance. It would have been a rather dead photo without them, so they make a big change, and they are well placed. Especially the blonde woman looks good against the darkness inside the entrance. The façade has many fine details of persons and animals, as the WS also show. The good light also serves the photo well.

Splendid composition with this entrance to the Town Hall that we can see is very old, a splendid building that still preserves many beautiful details as we can see in the WS, in which there are deteriorations as is normal and I think that also remodeling.
A magnificent range of colors, in very attractive tones, which give great chromaticism.

I love the details of the attractive arch, with the striated patterns.
The building oozes history, with obvious details, showing how it has been altered or repaired over the years.
I particularly like the workshop, a great addition to this main photograph.
