Lochness - Sellano (PG)
I do not know why they gave the name of the much more famous Scottish body of water to this pretty lake near Sellano, known for the mythical monster.
Here everything is sunny and you can breathe an atmosphere of peace. The building in the background is an old mill, now a restaurant. Above the ancient castle of Sellano dominates.

Ciao Silvio,ma che bel sole che c'era ieri, qui invece è tutto grigio e cupo anche oggi. In effetti è molto curioso il soprannome, sono stato a Lochness e non c'e' nulla che ricorda quel lago in questa composizione,grande luce che illumina i colori degli alberi autunnali,qualita' top! Hello Silvio,
The title is confusing, but it is a very beautiful view, probably not less beautiful than the much larger lake in Scotland. You have cleverly used the trees to the right and the hillside to the left to frame the view of the water and the steep hill with the old castle. The persons on the path are nicely included. There are really lots of fine details to watch in this photo.

Really a lovely place. I guess there is a dam and a water power plant on the end of this little lake. Backlight looks great on the tree leaves. Background mountains with buildings on top is impressive too.

Not only England has his Lochness, but also Italy with this wonderful Lake and watermill in background.

Hello Silvio, a lovely shot of the lake with the ancient castle in the background.
The autumn colours glowing in the sunshine really add to the mood of the scene.

Strange that it has the same name as the Scottish loch, I wonder which was named first?

Hello Silvio,
The length of the lake and the distance between it and the huge steep hill gives much depth at the picture.
It's a beautiful small lake surrounded by trees in their golden autumn foliage.
The foreground leads us well to the impressive hill with a fascinating castle on top.

A beautiful view of this charming lake, no monster in sight here. :-) The leaves of the trees around the water are lit so beautifully by the sunlight. The darker hill makes a good backdrop and adds a nice contrast.

This is a pretty scene, with nice back lighting and fall colors. The mill is charming, and it looks lovely with the lake in front of it. I hope there isn't a monster roaming in this lake like there is in the Scottish Loch Ness. :-)

I immediately smiled when I saw the title for, yes, Loch Ness in Scotland is very famous!

This is a beautiful serene location.
The old mill makes a strong focal point, resting quietly at the end of the lake, with a surround of deciduous trees, just beginning to show signs of autumn.
The tall, tree-covered hill makes a good backcloth, helping the maintain interest in the f/g.

Name given - but a whole different lake scenery from the famous in scotland.
Yet, the sight with the mountin on the far side, and the green vegetation alongside the pond made this very attractive place for photography.

Missed this one. The path at left adds lead in lines and perspective. Nice reflections in the lake and the hilltop citadel and church provides a strong focal point above. Tfs!
