Church of San Tommaso Apostolo - San Renzano di Spoleto (PG)

The small church stands in a panoramic position at the highest point of the town, overlooking the valley below.
From the typology of the masonry it seems to belong to the late Spoleto Romanesque, in fact, it is not mentioned in the Pelosius list or in Pietro Sella's "Rationes Decimarum".
The first document that certifies its existence is the cadastre of 1401, therefore the most probable dating seems to be the second half of the fourteenth century.
The church is unfortunately abandoned and in conditions of serious degradation, with the broken roof and water infiltrations in the apse area that are compromising the image of the Madonna, if we do not intervene as soon as possible we will find ourselves regretting another artistic heritage lost forever.
