Villa di Sant`Anatolia – Cascia (PG)rnSantʻAnatolia, is a settlement located along the Corno River Valley, in the Municipality of Cascia. It rises along the road to Roccatervi-Poggio-Rocchetta-Spoleto, on the spot where before the road opened (1850) a small oratory insisted (in turn built on a cylindrical Roman tomb). Another road continues towards the Avendita plateau crossing Logna.rnIn the Middle Ages the village of Sant 'Anatolia assumed the character of a transit villa. In the ancient papers it is known as "Santa Natolia", from the virgin and martyr Saint of the Anicia family (later Frangipane), immolated in Tora, near Piediluco, in 235 AD under the persecution of Vespasian (in fact following his refusal to marry Tito Aurelio in Rome, she was accused of being Christian and confined to being martyred).rr
