Photographer's Note

Castelvecchio - Preci - Umbria
The settlement of Castelvecchio stands on a hill and, despite the name, it does not present traces of fortification.
Its nature as a castle, certainly founded in the late medieval period (13th-14th centuries), as well as its toponym, is attested by its position (which dominates the landscape of the Campiano and Valnerina Valleys) and by the morphological characteristics of the nucleus .
The entrance doors on the two major sides correspond to the ancient routes to Corone to the south and to Saccovescio to the north, through Colle S. Martino.
