From Mongolia to Far East, a photo from Perugia, Umbria

Third, and perhaps last, post from Castelluccio. I like to make comparisons with landscapes of other nations, and after the Mongolian steppes, today the view reminds me a little of the terraces where rice is grown in the regions of the Far East. And then you have seen many times the flat parts full of colors during the flowering in Silvio's gallery, and in my opinion the show is also remarkable simply with the play of light and shadow on the green expanse.

Mi piace fare paragoni con paesaggi di altre nazioni, e dopo le steppe mongole, oggi la vista mi ricorda un po' le terrazze dove si coltiva il riso nelle regioni dell' Estremo Oriente. E poi avete visto molte volte le parti pianeggianti piene di colori durante la fioritura nella galleria di Silvio, e secondo me lo spettacolo è notevole anche semplicemente con il gioco di luci e ombre sulla distesa verde.

Le paysage est impressionnant. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la vallée et des montagnes. La lumière donne un bon rendu aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Could be the foothills of Tibet. Or Sicuan. Plenty of rice terraces in China, as well as more tropical parts like the Philippines, Vietnam and Bali. Good sharpness and nice shadow play. Tfs!

This is a phenomenal view in the heart of the naked valley, but who cares about bareness when the clouds pictured such irresistible clair-obscur patterns on the mountain slope.
With the help of the facing terrace cultivation, they suggest relief and much depth to your prize-winner tableau!

Ciao Caro Luciano,

The stepped effect made just the same impression on me, somewhere to grow rice!
It's magnificent and wild; the land of giants!
The top of the plateau resembling a giant, elephant foot, whilst the terraces are steps for a giant!
The combined effect of the sunlight and shadows makes it remarkably interesting!

Marvellous landscape image. The shape of the the mountains and hills looks as if carved by a sculptor. I like the pastel colours and dappled light a lot too.

Hello Luciano, a fabulous picture. I like the point of view which shows us the different aspects of the landscape.
Unusual terraces in the foreground, flat fields on the valley floor and then those amazing hills.
I can just see one or two buildings, but not many.
The sunlight and shadows from the clouds have given you a beautiful picture, can you guess? I like it!

For sure this is a magnificent region!
Difficult to make a comparison with the landscape of another country, I think. There are terraces here like we see in many Asian countries.
But the entire landscape has something special. Perhaps something exceptional that only Castelluccio has.
Wonderful play of light and shadows on the slopes but also in the valley and the foreground.

Bella foto e bel paesaggio di questo luogo praticamente hynospitus e disabitato. Ti ricorda davvero i paesaggi d'alta quota dell'Asia. Mi ha anche ricordato un po' alcuni paesaggi che ho visto nelle regioni d'alta quota del deserto di Atacama in Cile.

È un peccato che tu abbia dovuto rinunciare al tennis, ma questo è molto comune in quanto è uno sport che ha davvero un grande impatto sulle articolazioni e le persone sono facilmente soggette a molti infortuni.

Patchy light on this one looks just gorgeous. You have shown the fields of this regions many times. But I don't remember having seen those eroded slopes. They are surprisingly bare while my usual impression of
Italian mountains is fairly forested.
