Photographer's Note
imagine:
it's the year 1530 in the Tuscan city Montepulciano. You are a cool fearless knight of the papal army based in this village high in the mountains.
The army of the your pope is 5 days horseriding to the north chasing the french out of Florence and you have to follow this siege over CNN. Angry and borred to death you have to stand guard in this sleepy town. The wine cellars are already empty and you feel lost between all theese 'tasteless' renaissance-style buildings.
What do you do?
Right, You are gonna make yourself heard. You are gonna make yourself seen. you are gonna make some graffitys on the walls here with your 'tag'...
oops! no spraycan and no paint, well a hammer and a chisel will do the same trick...

Sorry sweetheart, the wine cellars can't EVER be emptyin Montepulciano, mainly if it's coming from Abruzzo. I like these simple unpretentious italian wines. The kind you'll eventually come across in the pizzeria around the corner. Great mood although the walls seem a bit soft (stop drinking NOW).

Jorrit , I did not understand the note :))...are you bored? are you a monk in Montepulcano? wine is not holly anymore ?
but I like the image..and how you framed it (the two windows up) made me think you wanted the biker in the middle too in fact...
but don't drink too much whatever :)

Wow, very cool. Like Maciej, kind of wish he weren't in the centre but damn, I love the shadows and motion.

This is a shot that comes far away from inside a twisted mind! how could one imagine layering a backgournd of historic walls with the slim shadow almost cartoonlike, of a moped rider? You seem to attract the most stupid looking riders in the world... You're really a vandal, but we knew that, it's then a confirmation of what we knew.
And your timing, well your timing couldn't be better!
Softy like Gal says but I think digital has pushed too far into a sharpness that only belongs to digital world.
Great work, Jorrit! Your postings are always events.
