Photographer's Note

Perched on the mountainside, Mussomeli is a country rich in history and art. Its territory indeed, was inhabited by the Sicani, Greeks, Romans and Arabs and in every corner there are traces of these ancient forms.
The pride of the city is the magnificent Castle Manfredonico Chiaromontano, symbol of the power of the feudal barons and majestic building which has come to us very well maintained. Which was built in 1364 by Manfredi Chiaramonte II, the castle stands on a spur of limestone about 80 meters on the outskirts of Musselburgh and is a clear example of Gothic art for the typical pointed arches and the mullioned windows that characterize it. It has a massive appearance for the good quality of the mortar used and the stone taken from the same rock, the abundant use of piers (vertical architectural element bearing) in the arches and blunders that have made weatherproof by six centuries.
Have a good week everyone.
