Photographer's Note

Pelvo Ciausis isn't a popular summit, as is the Valley of Bellino itself.
Stunning beauty in this pristine corner of the Cottian Alps, although a thick layer of fog/clouds was present between 1900m (6,235 ft) and 2600m (8,530 ft) of elevation.
From the summit, at 2732 m (8,963 ft), the view of peaks above the sea of clouds was just spectacular.
Monviso, tallest in this sector of the Alps, is at center in the background.

Moderate hike up to Colle Ciausis, some 10 minutes before the summit. From this point on, the ascent requires rock climbing skills with passages of 3rd grade (Italian scale).
