Palio d'Asti (2007).
These are the horses coming into the last bend and onto the starting finishing line. Although this is gray day it is not wet. Wet conditions can send the rider crashing off his mount and into the crowd or barricade. Not a race for the faint hearted.
Some of these jockeys are professional, and will also ride at other Palio's, like Sienna.
