Photographer's Note

The Camparino Bar is an iconic watering hole in the centre of Milan, Italy.

Established by Davide Campari in 1915, it sits on the Piazza del Duomo on the periphery of the famous Galleria Vittorio Emauele II.

As the name implies it specialises in the sale of Campari and Campari based drinks and cocktails, though other drinks as well as coffee etc. are also available.

Campari is a bitter actually made in Milan and is rather an acquired taste. I like to drink it with soda or tonic water. On the other hand, my wife and daughters don't like it all, comparing it to cough medicine!

This picture was taken at the end of the day after close of service; earlier in the evening the terrace was packed.
