Madonna Bella, a photo from Como, Lombardia

Il Santuario della Madonna dei Miracoli è anche conosciuto come il Santuario della Madonna Bella, questo perché nelle vicinanze di questa chiesa, nel 1543, era presente un pilastro con l'effige della Madonna Bella.
Nel 1550 ci fu una carestia e, mentre una fanciulla stava pregando per far terminare questo flagello, la Madonna gli apparve dicendo di andare a mietere il grano, gli abitanti del villaggio andarono nei campi e qui trovarono il grano da mietere.
Fu così che nel luogo venne costruita una chiesa dedicandola alla Madonna dei Miracoli.
L'immagine della Madonna Bella, risalente al 1300, è ancora oggi appesa sopra l'altare, purtroppo non sono riuscito a vederla perché sono arrivato quando la chiesa stava chiudendo....

A great capture of this church, also in the shades its many details and ornaments are still clearly seen and the golden touch of sunlight was gorgeous. Very well captured and composed.

Ciao Carlo,altra citta' in cui non sono mai stato nonostante la vicinanza,ottima cattura con la decentralizzazione della chiesa per dare spazio all'edificio di sinistra che penso sia un cimitero,bilanciamento perfetto delle luci,peccato che sei arrivato tardi per la visita....buon weekend,Luciano

Excellent capture of this interesting religious complex. I like very much the light and shadow contrasts, which are well managed and contribute much to the mood. Agreeable warm/cool tonal contrasts and very good sharpness.

Impressive church steeped in history and classic in itself which sits beautifully within your thoughtful composition. The colour lends a lovely striking contrast with visual impact but the touch of catch light is a real plus point. Well done.

Tu voulais profiter de la très belle lumière au sommet des bâtiments mais malheureusement tu as fait un petit peu trop vite car c'est un peu flou, du moins sur mon écran.
