From purple to blue, a photo from Bergamo, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

Following my previous photo, I show you a view of the Christmas decorations of the arcade of the Angelo Mai Library. The color has changed, from purple to blue, and I like it a lot. The Palazzo Nuovo in Bergamo, seat of the libreris, is the work of the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi, (Vicenza, 1548 or 1552 - Venice, 1616), while the entrance loggia, which lightens the facade, was designed by the architect Andrea Ceresola , known as the Vannone, who was also responsible for the reconstruction of the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.
The construction of the building began in the early seventeenth century and after a centuries-old path was completed in 1958 with the insertion of six statues, works by Tobia Vescovi, on the entablature of the second, fifth and eighth windows of the facade.
The façade is the work of the architect Ernesto Pirovano (1866-1934), who completed it in 1928 following the design of Scamozzi.

Facendo seguito alla mia foto precedente, vi mostro una vista delle decorazioni natalizie del porticato della Libreria Angelo Mai. Il colore è cambiato, dal viola al blu, e a me piace molto. Il Palazzo Nuovo di Bergamo, sede della libreris, è opera dell'architetto Vincenzo Scamozzi, (Vicenza, 1548 o 1552 - Venezia, 1616), mentre il loggiato d'ingresso, che ne alleggerisce la facciata, fu disegnato dall'architetto Andrea Ceresola, detto il Vannone, a cui si deve anche la ricostruzione del Palazzo Ducale di Genova.
La costruzione del palazzo iniziò nei primi anni del XVII secolo e dopo un percorso secolare fu ultimata nel 1958 con l'inserimento di sei statue, opere di Tobia Vescovi, sulle trabeazioni del secondo, quinto e ottavo finestrone della facciata.
La facciata è opera dell'architetto Ernesto Pirovano (1866-1934), che la completò nel 1928 seguendo il progetto dello Scamozzi.

C'est superbe avec comme tu le signales cette teinte ente bleu et violet, bel effet. Intéressant effet de perspectives avec ces lignes fuyantes, parfaite capture des lumières et décorations, tfs.

Hello Luciano,
The low angle gives us a good view of the thousands of small lights, bulbs and lanterns hanging above the street. The blue hour sky provides a good backdrop to purple light covering the street. As usual you managed a perfect symmetry.

If you wanted to create a sense of Christmas magic, this is how to do it! The lights and baubles create an amazing triangle against the blue hour sky. It is festive, it is sharp and it creates a wonderful sense of perspective!
