Photographer's Note

Piazza Vecchia is the hotspot of Città Alta . Often busy, the place is lined with several notable buildings, the best known is the Palazzo della Ragione (Palace of Reason), from which this photo was taken.

The Palazzo della Ragione once housed the municipal authority. It is surmounted by a tower, the Campanone (meaning big bell).

Opposite, the large white building is the municipal library. On the right you can see the tower of Gombito, which, from its height of 52 meters, offers a remarkable panorama of the whole city and even in clear weather, to Milan.

At the heart of the square is the fountain Contarini, dated 1780.

The picture is composed of two horizontal pictures.

Les détails architecturaux sont vraiment jolis!
La photo m'a plu beaucoup!
J'ai adoré surtout le pdv choisi, la compo, le format horizontal, la gestion de la lumière et les couleurs obtenues!

Bonjour Delphine,
avec ce bon assemblage de deux photos dans un format horizontal, tu as obtenu un ample angle visuel qui nous permet jouir la beauté de la place, son architecture intéressante, ainsi qu'une atmosphère agréable et vitale, créée par les gens.
Tout cela sous un joli jeu de lumière et d'ombres, et avec des couleurs bien rendues.
C'est une belle composition.

I'm really enjoying your Bergamo series...all of these photo's are very worthy of adding to the quality standards for TE.
Love the way you composed this square, how it produces that angle.
the lighting....you couldn't have asked for more elegant light than this! the architecutre is stunning to view, as are the atmospheric conditions with the sky and clouds..
wouldn't change a thing here
