Photographer's Note
The V shaped harbour of Vernazza, as seen from the hiking trail that leads to Monterosso al Mare. Vernazza is the second farthest north of the five fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. It is about equidistant between Monterosso and Corniglia, so when hiking the Cinque Terre trail, it makes for a perfect spot to stop and have some lunch. Luckily for that, it has a very nice little square on the harbour surrounded by restaurants that makes for a very nice setting for enjoying a bite to eat.

Olá Colin,
Very beautiful place to visit. I like the colors. The clearness of the picture is good, the pov is wonderful.

A great shot Colin - good colours of both the town and the harbour water. When I was there I didn't see Vernazza from the western side. I came from the other side and then the next day down from above from the ridge. How come it was so quiet in May? I was there in May and the place was overrun with people? (But then it was a long weekend!)

Hello Colin!
Amazing view of this coastal village from very good point of view!
Bright green colour of the lagune is also very beautiful.

Vernazza que Saudades! Intense yearnings for that mediterranean crown-jewel!
Your point of view is gorgeous including the grass in the foreground!
I did the Riomaggiore Vernazza trail only because we lost the energy for the last section (which we actually made by boat).
So mille grazie for showing that beautiful perspective!

Colin,
I was looking through your most posts and have to admit that you have a pretty funny sense to get the right title for your posts.
Comparing this one with your previous post is a very interesting. It shows a commitment and struggle in getting the better balance in composition. I personally prefer this one here with the grass in the foreground. It provides an additional sense of depthness. My only concern is that it seems to me that the f/8 was still to wide open to give a good overall sharpness.
