Basilica of San Pietro - Tuscania (VT)

It rises on the homonymous hill where, most probably, stood the Etruscan acropolis. Perfectly located on a grassy area between the Palazzo dei Canonici and three mighty defense towers, evidence of the strategic importance of the area was almost certainly founded in the 8th century, then almost completely rebuilt during the 11th century, prolonged in century later and completed the facade during the thirteenth century.
