The Swiss Guard. of which we see here two members, was founded on january 22th 1506.
Only Swiss young men, not married, between the age of 19 and 30 years old, Roman Catholic and of good ethical background can join the corps.

I like how the situation and the tension between the two guys has been captured!
Composition is good, colourful and some repetitive elements...
Sharpness probably could be better, did you sharpen after resizing?

I find this photo very amusing! :) It is hard to take someone so seriously who is wearing clothes like that, and yet the posture and arrangement demands to be taken seriously. I wonder what the two guards are thinking as they look at each other.

This is another great capture from the Vatican, (which is a relative unknown to me at least). I like the DOF, though the foreground figure could have been a bit sharper. Colourful and exotic, with interesting detail.
