Photographer's Note

The cathedral of S. Cesareo from year 1074 and the Piazza Municipio square (old name Emilian Forum) in front of it are in the old city (Centro Storico) of Terracina. The bell tower is from the 12th century. The pavement of the square is the pavement of the Roman Forum.
The ancient Appian Road was passing on the right edge of the square. Part of its pavement is preserved. I almost missed it because some repairs or excavations were going on (the bottom right corner).
