Photographer's Note

Primo Carnera was a famous boxer. In 1933 he became world champion. He was born in Sequals, close to the village were I live; in 1906, he went abroad to America to search a job like many Italian people in that time. He was so high, so big, so friendly, that people called him "The good giant". Carnera was a star for Italian emigrants, for the great success he got in those hard years. But his success finished early and he tried to get money with fre struggle or movies. At the end, he came back to his village, Sequals, and he built a home and a gymnasium. He died in this home in 1967. Now the village council made a Carnera museum in his home, and organizes boxe matches every summer in the square.
