Photographer's Note

The village of Santa Maria della Foce belongs to the municipality of Sarno, in the province of Salerno, region Campania.
It is located in the eastern part of the Sarno plain, named by the river Sarno which leads to the Mediterranian Sea, the Gulf of Naples. The Vulcano Vesuv and Pompeji is nearby.
The picture shows the church Santa Maria and to the left a construction symbolizing the Aquaeduct - the water supply line which lead from the mountains to several cities including Pompeji during the Roman Empire. In front one pipe-stone of the water-line.
