Photographer's Note
Pompei is an amazing place that reveals a lot of things about our ancestors, the Romans.
You know, the name of my native country, Romania, comes from Rome / Roman Empire.

Hello Daniel
I like several things about this shot:
(i) The ominous looking cloud shrouding the summit of Vesuvius
(ii) The wide angled panoramic crop
(iii) The bright red jacket of the woman at right vs blue tones
(iv) The Centaur statue at left.
I spent 8 hours walking around this huge sprawling site! You found a very interesting corner. Tfs!

Hello Daniel,
Pompei is an amazing place, with so many interesting, historic features in this vast site. You have incorporated the elevated centaur very well in your composition, acting effectively as a guide into the scene, and nicely balanced by the pillar, on a diagonal line.
The volcano is partially covered, giving it a sinister character.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊
I have been there twice and on each occasion, the volcano was covered in cloud, preventing me from exploring it.

Hello Daniel, a part of Pompeii that I do not remember, but we were being shepherded round by a tour guide.
So noting the date, visitors are now allowed on site, or maybe the site has never been closed?
Your point of view emphasises the size of the place.
Vesuvius in the background completes the scene.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Daniel,
The presence of the tourists is animating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of this area of the ruins of Pompei. The colors and the sharpness are very good. I visited Pompei on march 21, 2018, have a nice day.

A good photo of Pompei and, of course, with plenty of visitors (but no large tour groups?)

Hi Daniel,
this is such a vast area that it is hard to take it all in. The Vesuvio was covered with clouds here as if it was just about to erupt.
I have a very similar picture taken from nearly identicl POV. That means I really liked this spot too:
