Blue Grotto, a photo from Naples, Campania

Photographer's Note

I took this from a rowboat in the Blue Grotto. I wanted to capture the remarkable color and glow of the water, and the darkness in the cave above the water. So I like the black silhouettes of people and boats, and the bubbles where a paddle has dragged through the water. The cave entrance is white with a blurred boat exiting. It's blurry and tilted but I like the dreamy effect; there is no postprocessing.

Very nice effect you've captured - I agree, the colour and the black silhouettes are excellent. One tiny thing, your horizon is really crooked. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful post. thanks for sharing.
