Photographer's Note

Marina Grande is the port of Capri, located in a compartment on the northern side of the island. This is the point of arrival of tourists. It was not until 1876 that a pier was built rudimentary and it will take until 1928 to see the construction of a first quay for landing operations and boarding. The village of Marina Grande is very old and the redeveloped buildings you can see the structures of ancient houses built near water. This is the starting point for all trips to the island, and indeed from Marina Grande we take a funicular to reach the higher part of town, or follow the ancient Scala Fenicia to reach Anacapri foot.
