Photographer's Note

For anybody who has visited Inishmore this will be a familiar site. The typical way to visit the island is to hire a bike and ride around for a day, whatever the weather... So anywhere you go while you are there, either you see nobody and get a total sense of isolation either you see these grey hire bikes even in the most unusual places...

As for the post office, it's shabbyness fits perfectly with what one can expect to find in Ireland's countryside. One of the few places in Europe where shabby can be charming.

And the electrical wiring work is worth highlighting too... :-)
