Photographer's Note

We were staying in Letterkenny, but it didn't take long to get to Donegal.
A cafe was recommended that served blueberry pie, so that was our first port of call, before it got too busy, we were not disappointed! The most delicious blueberry pie, served with cream, and a pot of tea.

After walking around the town, taking in Donegal Castle, we made our way to the harbour where we boarded a boat for a "cruise" along the estuary.
This is the River Eske, which joins the Atlantic Ocean.

As you can see it was a very calm day for the trip on the river. Donegal Bay is home to a seal colony, plus cormorants and herons.

The boat didn't go too close to the seals but we did see them in the distance. (See w/s)

A scene of calm in these worrying times.
