Colours on A Rainy Day

Our last day in Ireland was rainy, but as we only drove back to Dublin and the weather had been really good during our time in Ireland (which hadn’t been forecast, before we left), we didn’t really mind. On our way from Killarney to Dublin Airport, we made a brief stopover to have lunch in the city of Kilkenny.

Kilkenny (Irish: Cill Chainnigh), located in the county of the same name, is located on the banks of the River Nore. Kilkenny, a popular tourist destination, was granted city status in 1609. With a population of a little over 25,000 people, it is the seventh largest town in Ireland.
