Irish Landscape, a photo from Kerry, South

Photographer's Note

At all the Ireland trip was very nice, apart from the bad weather, but that was something we had anticipated anyway. We started our tour in Dublin, the capital of Ireland and after an overnight stay in Cork we drove down to the very southwest (the name of the village we had out hostel in was Portmagee). We stayed for four days at the countryside, but it was clouded all the time and two days it even rained. But nevertheless we could enjoy viewing the landscape, driving around and walking some trails. The Irish landscape was a lot like it had imagined it, and the clouds, the wind and the rain actually even matched there quite well, they created a suitable atmosphere.
This photo was taken on our second day in the countryside, when we made a little trail to the cliffs, which were really beautiful, especially as we didn´t meet any other tourist all day long.
The picture is a panorama stitched with ArcSoft Panorama Maker 4 (I´m not sure whether this one is made of some upright or some landscape shots) and edited with Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Thanks a lot for viewing and I´m glad for any advice or hint, that could help me to improve my photography.

Hallo Jonas,

grandiose Landschaft (auch ohne Ansicht der großen Version) in einer ganz tollen Aufnahme, gefällt mir sehr.. im übrigen typisches Irland-Wetter was man so hört..
Nachdem ich nun doch noch einen Blick auf die große Version genommen habe, bestätigt soch meine Ansicht..
Da geht es ja geradewegs nach unten, und das ohne eine Absperrung.. sehr gewagt..

Hi Jonas,
na ENDLICH!!!!!! Schön mal wieder was neues von dir zu sehen. Hattest wohl kein allzu gutes Wetter aber du hast das beste draus gemacht. Ich fand diese britischen Landschaften immer atemberaubend, wäre schön da zu leben wenn das Wetter nicht so beschissen wäre ;-) Unser Deutsches ist zwar auch nicht viel besser, aber wenn ich hier weggehe, dann wo wo es warm ist ;-)
Schöner stitch, tolle "large version" und super Landscahft. Einwandfreie Qualität, super!

Jonas, this is a "WOW" shot. All the elements are included, people to scale it, asymmetrical composition, wonderful color saturation and sky (not washed out). Superb capture.

I know what "busy beacuse of school" means! ((:
Despite the bad weather you managed to take great panorama (how many photos did you stitch here?). I like especially the POV, but I think the people walking further are important parts of the composition too!

Bonjour Jonas,
une excellente idée que de proposer ce panorama brumeux en LP, il montre des côtes fort découpées et des falaises impressionnantes. Les personnages en donnent la mesure. Il va sans dire que cela ne manque pas de profondeur.

Good to see you (your photos) again. This one is very good, the large version of this impressive landscape is very interesting. It is a good thing that you could include some pesons in your composition. They add to the immensity of the sight!
Good depth and typical irish sky, exactly what one would foresee for Ireland.

Olá Jonas, superb large version that gives me a real sensation of being there with you, admiring the impressive cliffs. It seems cold and wet, just like I imagine Ireland and the trek along the coast line sounds very good to me from what I see here. Nice to see the tiny 3 ants for the scale - they seem to be waiting for you - go on, I'll follow all of you :)

Hallo Jonas! Na ja Irland und schoenes Wetter, allerdings gibt es Ausnahmen und genau dann war ich dort! Die Insel war gelb-braun, kannst Du Dir das vorstellen, nichts von gruener Insel :))) War echt schraeg muss ich sagen, aber irgendwann kam dann doch der Regen. Deine Long Version gefaellt mir sehr gut, vor allem finde ich speziell, dass man die Leute sieht, ganz klein, aber irgendwie sind sie ein wichtiges Detail, um die Dimensionen herauszustreichen. Gute Fotoarbeit! Nun wuensche ich Dir ein paar Tage Ruhe von der Schule, vielleicht findest Zeit fuer ein paar Fotos. Frohe Weihnachten ... Barbara.
