Photographer's Note

Gap of Dunloe is a small gap on east of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks. The road to go up to the gap goes through a wonderul scenery. It starts from a car park next to Kate Kearney's Cottage, not far from the road from Killarney to Killorglin. You can go into barouches to go top of the gap, but the best way to dot it is to walk. You need 3 to 4 hours to reach the top on a road (forbidden to cars on summer). During your walk you will cross two valleys, walk along lakes and meet a lot of sheeps ! Top of the gap you have a wonderful view on Killarney National Park. From there you can go down to Lakes of Killarney or return to the car park. I strongly recommand this easy walk you should do on early morning, where there is nobody but you to discover this great scenery !
