Blue, a photo from Kerry, South

Photographer's Note

I could have titled this picture "Waiting for the sunset", but instead we have a scene which is mainly 'Blue'.

Brandon Bay is situated on the Northern side of the Dingle peninsula. It is popular with swimmers, anglers and surfers.

Hello Jean,
This photo has such a nice atmosphere that there's not even any need for a lady in red strolling along the shore. There is a fine light from among the magnificent clouds and very nice reflections in the wet areas. You handled the perhaps not so easy exposure well.

At first glance it looks like some exotic Indonesian Island at blue hour, but I am certain the Irish seawater is much colder! Good sharpness and reflections. Tfs!

Hello Jean,

To open your photograph in the large format makes a tremendous difference. The differences in the light, the pink edging to the clouds, the reflections on the wet ground, all become so much clearer.
This shot produces a poetic atmosphere!

A beautiful view of the sea at low tide here. The many shades of blue look great here and also the clouds are shaped wonderfully and help to create a very nice lighting and atmosphere.

Hi Jean,
that is one of the reasons I don't like taking sunset photos. They are actually the best when there are some clouds but if there are too many there may be no sunset at all...
Having said that this is a beautiful result. Very romantic.. The pattern of clouds in the sky is very attractive and the wet beach at the low tide allowed some reflections while also having various patterns and textures.

A nicely composed photo with interesting clouds and reflections, with just a hint of sunset colour. The blue tone is quite pleasing, and the dark rocks make an interesting feature along the middle of the photo. Good sharpness and light control.

Spectacular composition in this beautiful cist of the beach and the sea, with a very cloudy sky, this dominant of blues in the whole image is ideal, the title is perfect.
