Photographer's Note

Quin Abbey was founded early in the 15th Century and was inhabitated by a small number of friars for approximately 400 years. Despite its suppression and repeated attacks during the sixteenth century, substantial remains of the friary survive, making it one of the most intact medieval Franciscan friaries in Ireland.
