Photographer's Note

This is a West Cross (named Tall Cross also) in Monasterboice. Cross comes from IX century and has 7 metres, so composition is untypical, because you can see the main part of Cross without a ladder.

The centre represent Christ (dressed and dead).

Close to Jesus you can see two soldiers (on right with spear and on left with vinegar).

The right arm represents the kiss of Judas and the left represent the mocking of Christ.

In between you see also two small and very rare scenes - milking and shearing of sheep (because Christ is the Good Shepherd).

This is the first time anyone posts a picture from this place on TrekEarth :-)
