Photographer's Note

Details from the ruins of Ross Errilly friary, close to Headford in County Galway. This franciscan friary is among the best-preserved in Ireland. It was founded on banks of Black River in 1531. It was abandoned and occupied several times in its history, but it was definitively abandoned in 1832. Today, the ruins are maintained by Heritage Ireland and open to the public free of charge. I love atmosphere of ruins of abbeys you can see everywhere in Ireland. All of them have been founded in beautiful natural sites and they make you feel so serene.
