Photographer's Note

Donegal is the most remote northwestern county of Ireland. As you surely already know from TE galleries, its coast is spectacular and full of variety. Beautiful picturesque sandy beaches and dramatic rocky landscapes are to be found next to each other and there are just few tourists around all year round. There is only one thing which makes this land different from a vacation paradise. I spent in Donegal about 6 days on two different occasions and most of the time it was raining. When we asked locals about the weather they told us that 9 out of 10 days all year round it is raining.
This type of environment is very challenging for a photographer. You may be blessed with a spectacular dramatic shot but you may as well get nothing.
This shot was taken last year in May on a "TE meeting" with darek1978. The weather was very changable and usually it was changing to the worse...
Fanad Head Lighthouse is one of the most interesting lighthouses in Ireland due to its breathtaking location.
