Photographer's Note
As promised, here is another drone photos I took in the North Western regions of Iceland. Driving around the twisting roads that surround the Fjords, it's a breath taking experience.
I recall spending the night in my car, how could I forget. There is very little in the way of accomodations up here, so I didn't even try that hard to locate any.
Wake up, get the drone ready, find your spot and start shooting.
The GPS feature on the drone gave me the map co-ordinates, they're not 100% accurate as its says i'm in the water, but you'll see where I am.
The drone is at at a height of 668 meters or 2200 feet.

Hello Craig,
After a night in the car it would have been perfect to get into the water to freshen yourself up. ;-)
This is just as fascinating as most of your other drone photos. From this height everything looks like a model landscape made for a museum. The hazy distant parts actually look like they're painted. It's interesting to see the three snakes winding through the scenery: the road, the ridge of the left hill and the narrow stream.
You could see the same view from a plane at this height but you would rarely take a photo of such sharpness and clarity from a plane.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Craig, it is such a fascinating landscape, I never tire of seeing these wonderful views.
Using the drone gives you the unique opportunity of seeing and sharing the beautiful features of Iceland.
We can see for miles, the sharp focusing is amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Craig
I like the parallel alignment of the meandering road at left and the meandering stream at right. A tremendous drone shot with impeccable sharpness and wonderful warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Fantastic, Craig.
The landscape is outstanding sight from above, the outcome of the drone photos masterfully handled.
Attractive, intriguing and exceptional.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike
*** Map view is out at sea, not so accurate. You may send me the name of the closest place and i will find it, hopefully.
*** Craig, I think I found the Fjord shown here on the Google-Map at 65.65, -23.463, hope this is the one. stubborn, yet a dedicated cartograph.

Hello Craig,
You're really a master at using that drone. I imagine it would take quite a lot of practice to get photos like this. Once again we see a fascinating and beautiful landscape, and I especially like the deep, blue color of the water in the center of the frame. Did you encounter any wild animals while you were sleeping in your car out in the wilderness? I don't know what kind of wildlife might be rooming around in rural Iceland. :-) Take care!

Hi Craig,
The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the fjord. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
Wonderful view with both the river and the road that run more or less parallel to the sea.
Nice contrast between the blue water, the arid brown mountain slopes and the green parts on the right.
I can imagine that there are few accommodation options there. Were there options to eat or drink something?
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig
Beautiful photograph, well balanced colours and superb quality. Congratulations! however... my small advice is - refrain from posting comments regarding your flight height as there are cases when you can get in trouble because of that. I got a drone licence some time ago and it changed completely my point of view on this 'business'. At his height you cannot neither see nor hear your drone. Unless you are holder of BVLOS licence and obtained permission from Icelandic authorities it's fine but still... what about those people travelling onboard planes? Ever thought about that? I still believe you are aware of all of that and your flight was safe ;)
hava a nice day

Hello Craig,
A night spent in the car - this reveals your dedication!
It's a wonderful, aerial shot.
There won't be many people who have enjoyed this view!
We can see the curved roads, one on high ground and one on lowland, seeming to converge at the mouth of the fjord, in a pincer movement. They also guide us in to the beauty of the blue water and surrounding steep cliffs.
The land is rugged and wild, almost like a time forgotten place!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig,
A magnificent view of the fjord, the slopes, some steep, others gentler, the narrow river through the green valley and the winding road. The weather was very nice and clear and offered an amazing view from this bird's eye perspective.

Hi Craig,
this sounds like a great adventure. Another one which is so much easier to undertake without a small child with you. But there are places where you can go and there will be more and more opportunities for adventure again.
Spectacular sight here. The elevated POV made a great contribution here since the bay became more pronounced in between green hills.
Excellent quality work, it could be used as an advert for a drone :)

Hi Craig.
Astonishing panorama of the Icelandic coastline, with those cliffs and in the foreground this green valley through which a river runs that flows into the beautiful and sheltered bay.
Very effective coloring, which highlights the details of the image.
Good management, both of brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I like.
Enjoy the weekend.
My best wishes for you.

craig
another surprising view with the small river entering in the sea and the cliffs ahead. I was thinking if I would let a drone go so high..
take care
