Photographer's Note

The charming town of Stykkisholmur, the largest of the Snaefellness peninsula settlements, is built up around a natural harbor, protected by a dramatic basalt island. It is a picturesque place with a laid back attitude and a sprinkling of brightly colored buildings. The basalt island is reachable by a causeway and offers good views over the bay towards the island of Flatey and the distant Westfijords.
