Photographer's Note

The surface of the lavafields is similar to that of a crumbled cake. They are called 'hraun' in icelandic. Here we are looking from Neshraun to the northwest-slopes of Snaefellsjökull. In some places the lave is covered with lichens, mosses and colourful flowers.
