Photographer's Note

Halfway between the town of Borgarness and Husafell lies the quaint little place of Fossatun, with a river and rapids amongst a great barren landscape. As the temperatures of march grow warmer, the rivers start to melt and the water of the once frozen river start to flow again, creating a fascinating landscape of snow and water.
The local country hotel is owned by a pleasant former record company owner and children's book author featuring a family of trolls. Being a guest there out of season has the advantage that one can choose ones own music from he vast collection of vinyl LP's that covers the hotel restaurants wall. In our case we opted for Barcley James Harves, Manfred Man and Jethro Tull.
