I remember having already concluded that the sun had disappeared for good behind mountains and clouds when the light re-emerged for a final few minutes over the rhyolite mountains. This was one of the most special moments of my trip to Iceland...

This is stunning landscape picture... the cloud teased you with the lighting which is incredible. Golden colour with great details and sharpness...

Great composition and the rocks included.

Iceland is one destination I really want to visit. Thanks for sharing.. sure this picture make me want to go to sooner! :-)

I like the mild light and above all the color contrast between the brown mountains and waters with the black rocks at the FG

Ein tolles Bild dieser beeindruckenden landschaft.Sehr schöne unterschiedlich Farben des Gestrins und ein schöner Vordergrund mit den schwarzen Brocken.Auch die Schneefelder gefallen mir sehr.

Hi Karsten,
the beauty of this place is even enhanced by the spots of old white snow. Good that you enclosed also the grey rocks in the foreground to give tension to it.
