Photographer's Note

Icelandic roads in all their beauty. The ring road around the island was completed only 30 years ago. However, the roads are under constant riks -- the great volcano eruption and following flood in the Southern part of the country destroyed many roads there, breaking the connection for months.

The road at the picture is in so-called 'Interior', inside part of Iceland. In the winter most of these roads are closed even for 4x4 trucks, because they are getting very dangerous and absolutely not accessible.

P.S. Would like to boast a bit that the photo was made in a moving bus through its windglass.
