Þingvellir is a site of historical, cultural, and geological importance and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. Hello Burak,
I like this view of the large plain and the hills in the background. The weak light creates a cold atmosphere but some warmth comes from the low sun and the light beautifully reflected in the lake.

A tranquil but moody wide landscape with nice bit of warm light drawing the eye and lovely fore-and-background features. Vividness of detail, colours and sky contrast add to a nice effect to this low light scene and that's the reason why they call this Iceland. Congrats.

Hi Burak,
I've been there last summer, on a cloudy day, but enjoyed the beauty of this place. But it was not as beautiful as this photo ! A beautiful snowy landscape with nice winter light. If I ever go back to Iceland, I think I will do in winter, it looks a wonderful place at that time of the year.

yes, this is very typical of the landscape in Iceland.
You can sit yourself down and see ice, snow and mountains for miles all around you.

This is exactly what Iceland is all about.
