Photographer's Note
Most of my time in Iceland was under clouds, but when the light did shine, it was magical. On the first day, it turned a cat into an arctic fox, a fire hydrant into a work of art and a ship into a dream.
When I returned to the harbour a week later, this ship was gone without a trace, probably back out to sea, but it is somehow poetic for those first moments on my own in Icelandic light, which I saw so little of, but remember it was unreal enough to never have existed.

Hi Dan,
Yes, there is certain surreality on this. The shape looks strange when we see parts that are normally under water. Backlight works well, both shadows and highlights are well in control.
