Photographer's Note

So, now I finally got the time to post the first picture from my third trip to Iceland.
I am hopelessly and definitly in love with that amazing island.

This is outside the geothermic lake / spa / bath the Blue Lagoon (Bláa Ionid) at Reykjanes.
The whole Reykjanes area is lava fields and old volcanoes and in the middle the geothermic lake.
The water is turqouise and where swimming is allowed between 37 and 40 degrees hot, a lerge part of the lake is even warmer but there are too dangerous to take a swim.

Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of Iceland's most unique and popular attractions. The Blue Lagoon's market share in the Icelandic tourism market is 70% on an annual basis. This unique destination is also very popular among Icelanders.

The water contains minerals, silica, algae and salt and can help cure skin problems such as psoriasis, acne and so on.
Blue Lagoon products, made from the clay on the bottom of the lake or the water, are avaliable to buy all over Iceland.

It was wonderful to just float around in the warm, beautiful lake after the flight. (We arrived 40 minutes before this was shot)
